The vocabulary of predictive intelligence.

Definitions for predictive business intelligence, agentic workforces, specialist agents and the NESTSIGNAL™ operating model.

Intelligent Organisation™

An organisation that connects its business data, creates Human Intelligence™, deploys AI Specialists, executes with confidence and continuously learns — delivering measurable business outcomes as a single operating system.

Human Intelligence™

Recommendations a person can act on — what to do, why, what it costs, what it earns and what to watch. The layer above forecasts and analytics: intelligence that has been made human, explainable and decision-ready.

AI Specialists

A coordinated workforce of specialist AI agents — each owning a defined business capability (SEO, Forecasting, Churn Risk, Cash) — operating against connected data, generating recommendations and executing under human-approved missions. (Formerly: Agentic Workforce.)

Business Intelligence

The layer that resolves raw business signals into business meaning — segments, journeys, accounts, products, outcomes. Includes forward-looking forecasting alongside historical reporting. (Formerly on this site: Predictive Business Intelligence / Semantic Layer.)

Connected Business Knowledge

A living knowledge graph that connects data, decisions and outcomes across the organisation — the substrate Human Intelligence™ and AI Specialists reason over.

Mission Execution

How work runs on NESTSIGNAL. AI Specialists coordinate a mission — scope, owners, cost envelope, success criteria — and execute across the tools your teams already use, under human approval and real-time monitoring.

Business Signals

The raw events the organisation continuously emits — a search, a click, a booking, a payment, a churn risk — captured the moment they happen and resolved into business meaning by the Business Intelligence layer.

Single Source of Truth (SSOT)

A unified, reconciled view of the entities (accounts, customers, products, employees) and metrics (revenue, cash, throughput) the business runs on — so every team, agent and report references the same numbers.

Signals · Predictions · Actions

The NESTSIGNAL™ operating pattern. Specialists continuously monitor signals from connected systems, generate predictions about likely outcomes, and recommend or execute the actions most likely to create commercial impact.

AI Search Optimisation (AIO)

The practice of optimising for visibility, citation and recommendation across AI search surfaces — AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity — as a complement to traditional SEO. Focuses on entity, structure, citation and prompt-set performance.

Specialist Agent

An AI agent scoped to a defined business capability — e.g. SEO Agent, Forecasting Agent, Churn Risk Agent — with its own signals, predictions and actions. Specialists are coordinated into workforces by solution (Marketing, Sales, Finance, etc.).

Workforce

A coordinated group of specialist agents deployed against a business function (Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Operations, Finance, HR, Executive). Each workforce reports into a single intelligence layer for that function.

Human-in-the-Loop (HITL)

A control model in which agents recommend or stage actions, and humans approve, escalate or override before execution. NESTSIGNAL™ ships every action behind a configurable HITL control — fully audited.

Predicted NRR

A forward-looking estimate of net revenue retention by cohort and segment — built from product usage, support, billing and engagement signal — used to intervene on churn and expansion 60–90 days ahead of renewal.

Pipeline Coverage

The ratio of qualified pipeline to target for a given period. NESTSIGNAL™ predicts coverage adequacy ahead of the quarter and surfaces sourcing intervention before the gap becomes structural.

Forecast Accuracy

The variance between predicted and actual outcome — revenue, cash, throughput. NESTSIGNAL™ replaces spreadsheet roll-up with deal/account-level probability and explainable drivers, lifting accuracy and trust.

Executive Intelligence

The board-grade layer above every workforce. Synthesises revenue, margin, cash, capacity, risk and strategy into one predicted view — with scenario modelling and drafted executive narrative.
